IFR is split into four different sections of personnel, three emergency service sections including polair, aerial firefighting and air ambulance while we also have a support section for non-critical operations.
Polair Operations and activities involved in polair include:
Patrolling and high visibility operations
Criminal and fugitive chases and arrests
Escort services for both high profile persons
Community engagement and events
Assisting other agencies
Closure and/or control of airspace/airports or parts thereof
Aerial firefighting Operations and activities involved in aerial fighting include:
Fighting fires
Conducting Hazard Reductions
Reducing and preventing the fire risk to communities
Providing firefighters to at risk external operations

Air Ambulance Operations and activities involved in air ambulance include:
Search and rescues
Patient care and medivac
Patient hospital/clinic transport

Below are the IFR ranks for both operational and ranked members (see career mode for details). All members start as operational members then decide to either stay or become a ranked member. Specialised qualifications are not included. Additional notes for operational members have been added.
Operational
Operational member Pre-requisites: Visitor Induction course. Qualification: respective basic first responders course + Cessna 172 and role specific type rating. Summary: basic first responder. Recognition of Prior Learning: N/A.
Technical Pilot Pre-requisites: previous rank. Qualifications: respective technical course + role specific type rating. Summary: higher level of training to do and fly more complex operations. Recognition of Prior Learning: members who have any real-world emergency service experience/area solo student.
Advanced Pilot Pre-requisites: previous rank+ attended 5 (10 for non-ranked) incidences. Qualifications: respective advanced course + role specific type rating. Summary: training to reliably work alone and do more complex tasks + teach others. Note: ranked advanced is easier to achieve due to being training based whereas operational is experience based. Recognition of Prior Learning: members who are active in a real-world experience/licensed pilots.
Crew leader (CL) Pre-requisites: previous rank for 10 (20 non-ranked) incidences. Qualifications: respective CL courses + role specific type rating. Summary: supervise, lead and teach a crew of first responders and be an Incident Controller at a level 1 (local) incident. Recognition of Prior Learning: members with 2+ years real-world emergency experience.
Group Leader (GL) Pre-requisites: CL of 20 incidences, 10 of which must have been sector leader and 2 as a DIVCOM (Division Commander). Qualifications: GL course + type rating. Summary: command multiple crews of first responders and be be an Incident Controller at a level 2 (sectorised up to a dividised) incidents. Note: due to the nature of a GL, pre-requisites are equal for all. Recognition of Prior Learning: real-world ICS (Incident Control Systems) experience or qualification.
Strategic Personnel Pre-requisites: GL of 40 incidences, 10 of which must be DIVCOM. Qualifications: strategic course + type rating. Summary: direct personnel at a level 3 (global and/or highly complex) incidents. Note: there may only be a maximum of 1 per continent (7 in total). Recognition of Prior Learning: those qualified in Incident Management Team, preferably IMO and IMC as well along with Aviation Safety Management.
Executive (Staff) Pre-requisites: Visitor Induction and approval from the Commissioner. Qualifications: role specific training and executive type rating. Summary: help improve IFR in role specific areas including Personnel and Facilities, Comms, Operations + Training and Assessing. Recognition of Prior Learning: mentioned on IFC threat.
